Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION The Head Garden Operator is responsible for ensuring the growth, health and production of Prohibition 37’s medical cannabis plants. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations, management and supervision of the grow facility and its employees. This position ensures daily business operations are completed in accordance with company policies and New Mexico regulatory standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The essential job functions or duties of this position are as follows: Develops and sustains a positive culture that aligns with the company’s values and makes the workplace enjoyable for team members. Manages Grow Team performance, including training, retaining and disciplining employees.

Supervises Grow Team to achieve performance goals. Plants, transplants, clones, fertilizes, applies chemicals, waters, trims and maintains grow areas to achieve maximum yield from cannabis plants. Plants and propagates plants. Recognizes disease and insect problems and performs pest control operations. Manages greenhouse operations, including directing grow schedules, implementing quality assurance practices, ordering materials and supplies, tracking inventory, and maintaining a safe, productive and hygienic work site. Ensures appropriate care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Promotes continuous improvement with workplace safety and environmental practices. Processes and packages cannabis as requested by Leadership and in accordance with industry best practices. Handles and transports medical cannabis and CDPs in accordance with Employer policies and procedures and applicable legal standards. Implements policies and procedures for safety and security of employees, customers and vendors. Oversees facility management to make sure the grow facility runs smoothly and safely. This includes an understanding of security systems, floor plans and more. Works with management to prepare documents required for licensure and renewal within the Department of Health. Maintains any personal certifications or licensures that are required for Department of Health license. Responds to request for information from authorized Department of Health officials and from clients. Ensures that the company remains in compliance with all New Mexico Department of Health, federal, state and local rules and regulations. Fulfills other job duties as assigned, including jumping in to help to compensate for staffing shortages, responding to emergency situations and more. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Head Garden Operator should possess the following qualifications and skills: Associate Degree in horticulture, agriculture or related science, or more than five years’ experience in production in an agricultural setting. More than two years’ experience in commercial cultivation.

Experience in growing and distributing high quality medical cannabis preferred. Knowledgeable about growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria, and nutrient implementation. Knowledgeable about plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment. Strong knowledge of plant varieties with high yield and/or disease and insect-resistant characteristics. Experience in overseeing professional production environments, including handling equipment, operations, processing and execution. Strong leadership skills and experience leading teams. Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or among teams, demonstrating good judgment, professionalism and integrity. No disqualifying criminal convictions.

Ability to pass a background check. Ability to obtain Department of Health LNPP Employee Card or Equivalent. Knowledge of federal and state patient confidentiality laws and regulations. Knowledge of food safety and CDP production hygiene standards. Knowledge of Department of Health regulations for LNPPs.
