Job Description

Financial Reporting Manager


The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for the financial consolidation process of a multi-location professional services organization. The Company is based in Virginia, with team members located throughout the US. The position is remote, but the individual will have the option of working from one of the Company's locations.


  • Prepare monthly consolidation of financial statements, including elimination entries
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting package (including financial statements and KPIs) to shareholders
  • Manage the general ledger for the parent company, including intercompany transactions (i.e. management fees, cost reimbursement) between parent company and subsidiaries, payables and payroll
  • Assist with complex technical accounting issues, including research, documentation and consultation/coordination with external parties
  • Assist with various technical accounting and reporting projects
  • Assist with M&A and financing projects
  • Coordinate audit of annual financial statements with accounting firm and internal stakeholders


  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources to prepare schedules, analyze financial activities and draw conclusions
  • Capable of performing technical accounting research and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and remotely and provide updates on projects regularly, drive projects forward, and communicate with various departments
  • Manage multiple workstreams, include recurring tasks and one-time projects
  • Understanding of financial data and metrics

Experience & Education

  • At least 5 years of experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting and industry experience
  • Prior experience with multi-location consolidation (either as a preparer or auditor)
  • Prior experience with accounting for business combinations preferred
  • CPA license
