Job Description

We are seeking a Caregiver CNA HHA to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals.

Caregiver duties and responsibilities

Caregivers help clients with everyday activities, from domestic tasks to completing errands. Other essential duties and responsibilities of the Caregiver include:

  • Serving as a companion to clients
  • Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands and activities
  • Managing medication
  • Preparing meals and shopping for groceries or other essentials
  • Providing care across a variety of settings, including group homes and day service programs

Case Details:

  • Client: Eldery Female
  • Location: Allentown, PA
  • Pay: $13 - $14 per hour
  • Schedule: Friday and Sunday 10-pm - 8a and Saturday 10pm-8am, then 8am-2pm, then 5p-10pm (41 hours per week).

In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of services between caregivers and clients including creating care schedules, staffing, backup care planning, and creating a seamless experience for our clients and their caregivers. You will be part of a collaborative and solutions-based care service team that makes Tandem the first choice for those seeking in-home care.

Responsibilities

· Oversee and manage all staffing of our caregivers with new and existing clients

· Ensure that all scheduled shifts are staffed appropriately including managing callouts and last-minute schedule changes

· Create and update caregiver profiles regularly to ensure a successful client/caregiver match with each caring relationship

· Maintain accurate caregiver availability in AxisCare to improve efficiency with scheduling

· Coordinate with the client sales team about staffing ability for new client leads

· Utilize AxisCare to communicate with caregivers and document when shifts are offered, accepted and declined

· Collaborate with the director of care-planning and caregiver supervisor to match clients with appropriate caregivers based on experience and location

· Cover on-call duties as needed when scheduling conflicts or emergencies arise

· Document all caregiver callouts, shift refusals, late arrivals, and early departures and provide the caregiver supervisor with regular updates

Preferred Experience and Skills

· Minimum of two years in staffing and/or scheduling position

· Professional experience in the field of customer service

· Team player with excellent verbal and communication skills

· Ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism and patience in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and can-do attitude

· Minimum of one year of prior experience in a caregiving agency preferred

· Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping

· A self-starter with excellent time management skills
