Job Description

Professional Search Group (PSG) is looking for a Customer-Oriented Service Representative. A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk. Customer service representatives can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and these CSRs can gather that for you. Problem-solving comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Frontline support and main contact for our Channel Partners and Key Accounts.
  • Responds to inquiries and resolves issues related to Customer Service.  
  • Coordinates with Product Marketing and Sales teams for key Accounts and custom product ordering support.
  • Enters distributors/customers’ purchase orders into SAP (accounting system) and follows-up with order status.
  • Answers and assists with incoming telephone calls.
  • Runs weekly and monthly sales reports from accounting or report system. Provides summary or custom-made sales reports upon request.
  • Assists in drafting SOP’s (Standard Operations Procedures) for related job functions and tasks and finalizes the SOP after review.
  • Key user of SAP SD module for CS team. Trains other CSRs for the new function or modified function.
  • Coordinates with IT for SAP and ordering system enhancement as needed.
  • Provides on the job training to new employee or as needed. 
  • Performs other sales and customer support related duties as necessary.   

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to complaints in a professional manner.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Microsoft proficient.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Education and/or Experience

  • Customer Service experience required (minimum 3 years).
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, or college student after junior grade.
  • 3-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
