VC funded startup company is a pioneer in IoT (Internet of Things) security, cybersecurity/network security, needs Business Development professional who is: (1) very experienced, seasoned 'hunter' with strong embedded design, network security and/or cybersecurity as it relates to network design and network architectures and SAAS - OR - (2) an "upstart" embedded engineer who understands the technology and wants to get into sales or business development (client has technical people who can come in and help close the technical deal). Both need to be "hunters" who identify potential users of the technology, find the right people inside, close the deal. This is a new product in the IoT world, involves a consulting sale and considerable customer education. Could be a sales application engineer who is a strong "hunter".

The company has developed a complete IoT endpoint security solution for the evolving edge that is resistant to quantum-computing attacks. The Business Development candidate will be a 'hunter' who is tenacious, identify potential users of the technology, open the door and begin the process.
Ideal: someone in cybersecurity or network security or embedded SW design who can do business development. Someone who understands security challenges, knows embedded designs for smaller devices if at all possible (ie, comes from an embedded design house or a company that designs their own endpoints or their devices or their own storage devices), has design experience, knows the process of bringing HW and SW together, understands cloud based architectures, SAAS based architectures, SAAS based solutions and network architectures to support large deployment of devices.
Candidate will create lead generation system, train others, may have previous CRM system development, to guide/manage this IoT company clients. Will focus on IoT devices so ideal candidate will bring considerable network communication security space experience, including middleware, and have knowledge, expertise and contacts in the IoT space. Can come from (1) network communication space, (2) HW that facilitates communication systems, (3) manufacturing, (4) system integrators, or (5) custom electronics systems developers. Ideal candidate will have previous startup company experience with verifiable sales experience and can build team.
Strong base, equity, benefits (100% insurance paid for family), bonus. Travel 50-70%. Relocation paid. No telecommuting. Local and national travel (50%-70%). Will NOT be commission based; will have strong base salary plus bonus and equity.
