Northern Intergraded Health (NIH), DBA as Professional Counseling Centers (PCC), is currently hiring part-time Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC) or a Alcohol and Drug Counselors (ADCT). PCC is a dual diagnosis and co-occurring outpatient chemical dependency treatment center and 245G (Rule 31) clinic. We are located in three convenient locations across the Twin Cities Metro area; Saint Louis Park, Delano, and Buffalo, MN. We offer various types of programming, including Intensive Outpatient Treatment with lodging facilities. Counseling is provided by the alcohol and drug treatment counselors, mental health providers, and training doctoral students in psychology. We use an eclectic approach incorporating various techniques and programs like the 12 Step program, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and other evidenced based practices to provide therapy and substance abuse counseling. Additionally, depending on programming, treatment includes mental health lectures, life skills training, and education about neurobiology.
Requirements
Job Description Summary: The LADC provides direct service to daytime and/or evening outpatient programs for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The LADC manages a full individual caseload by orienting clients to treatment and developing individual intervention, treatment, and recovery plans collaboratively with mental health staff. The LADC facilitates group sessions and conduct 1:1 sessions and charting appropriately. LADCs may provide coaching to interns and facilitate development of clinical competency and ethical practice. Other job responsibilities may include performing chemical dependency evaluations for clients and making the appropriate referrals and recommendations.
Position Type: Full or Part Time Positions available (20-40 hours)
Schedule: MON-THURS 8am-4pm or 5pm-9pm, staffing on friday afternoons mandatory at least 1x monthly and Saturday morning rotations.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Licensure:
- Holds a bachelors degree in chemical dependency
- Certified as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug counselor (LADC) through the Minnesota Department of Human Services
Experience:
- Experience with Rule 31 clinic and working with MI/CD clients required
- Experience with Electronic Health Records systems preferred
- Experience working in an Intensive Out-Patient with lodging treatment center preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of complex mental health disorders and addiction medicine
- Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations
- Excellent written and oral communication

- Knowledge of community resources and mental health systems
- Knowledge of Twelve Step chemical treatment approaches preferred
- Computer proficiency

Other Requirements:
- Free of substance use problems for a period of 2 years required
- Complete a background study in accordance with Rule 31 regulations
- Have a valid Drivers License required
- Ability to travel between various locations
