Primary Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining and growing an established sales territory consisting of street customers and national account/chain customers with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. Incumbent will be responsible for building customer relationships by providing excellent service and value to Produce Source Partner's customers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Proactively create opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers
Present, demonstrate, and sell PSP products to existing and prospective PSP accounts
Have the drive and self-motivation to make cold calls and set appointments with the goal of selling the freshest produce available in the marketplace
Maintain complete and accurate records of all sales
Provide superior customer service to existing customers in a designated territory while also acquiring new customers
Maintain excellent working relationships with your customer and build partnerships that will assist the customer in achieving their sales goals
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years previous sales experience
Prior experience in fresh produce wholesale/retail preferred
Comprehensive understanding of market trends and conditions
Self-motivated and willing to take initiative
Able to work under pressure
Good customer service skills and positive attitude
Excellent work ethic and integrity
High-energy and passionate about accomplishing sales goals
Ability to solve problems and issues logically and independently
Must have valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
Skills:
Computer proficient
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent organizational & negotiating skills
Excellent selling skills and ability to adapt to different customer types
High degree of collaboration within the sales team
Excellent phone, people, and closing skills
Ability to work on several projects at once in a fast-paced environment
