Job Overview
Responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and the budget and scope of work sold is adhered to. This includes internal fabrication as-well-as keeping stakeholders informed the entire way.
Responsibilities and Duties
Meet with Account Executives to understand scope, objectives and specific requirements for each project.
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Generate and update project estimates to be shared with clients.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members. Maintain and monitor project timelines, ensure timelines are accurate and due dates are being met
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
Schedule and run project related meetings (launch, turnover, drawing review, pre-ship, recap).
Post critical milestones to Teamwork (ship dates, completion dates, preview dates).
Order building materials, graphics and subcontracted services.
Generate purchase orders for all purchases. Post them to Teamwork.
Assign tasks to internal departments (ie.detailing (build drawings), metal and wood shop, graphics, warehouse and design).
Review build drawings, identify incorrect or missing items.
Oversee the build process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
Evaluate project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field, or equivalent experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
5 -8 years proven working experience in project management.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience with process improvement and inventory control.
Advanced time management and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred knowledge and skills.
Leadership
Proven critical thinking and ability to solve problems creatively.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate ideas and needs clearly and succinctly to internal team members. Excellent client-facing communication skill.
Estimation background preferred
Experience with Tradeshow or event planning
