Administrator

A very reputable hospice care agency is looking for a Hospice Administrator to join their team. They are one of the largest providers in the South East by being extremely focused on providing high quality patient care and achieving satisfaction and excellent results.

As the Hospice Administrator you will provide overall management of clinical, regulatory, administrative and financial direction of the organization and assumes final responsibility for all activities and staff. Ensures provision of Hospice services that reflects the organizations philosophy and standards.

Adheres to all federal and state regulations, as well as accrediting organization standards, as applicable. Evaluates provision of services through a Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) program. Consults with staff, physicians, management team on problems and interpretation of organization policies to ensure patient and family needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development and review of policies and procedures.
• Ensures employment of qualified staff.
• Ensures policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all staff.
• Ensures there is a qualified DON and sufficient staff are in place.
• Ensures there is an orientation, training & supervision of every employee and that they complete their assigned programs.
• Ensures there are effective communication mechanisms for staff, patients, and families.
• If the absence of the Administrator, the DON will assume responsibilities for the Administrator. If both are absent the Direct of Compliance shall assume the Administrator role.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with a BSN from an accredited school
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in nursing management/administration and Hospice care.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Valid state driver's license.
