The Logistics Analyst provides day to day direction to the Logistics Engineering staff as well as takes the lead on training new employees, and performing analysis on new and current business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Management and Training

  • Responsible for providing day to day direction to Logistics engineering staff.
  • Lead training for new team members and internal employees from other departments.

3PL Customer Relationship Management.

  • Formulates Analysis presentation material for QBRs and kaizens.
  • Identify and propose cost savings opportunities to hit cost savings guarantees.
  • Cooperates with SCM team to ensure Optimiz reflects current network design.
  • Develops and distributes custom reports satisfying unique customer requirements.
  • Analyze impact of potential network changes by customer to facilitate the customer in making the most cost effective network changes.
  • Reviews AR invoices for completeness and accuracy.

New Business Pricing

  • Creates pricing models.
  • Works with Sales Consultants to determine new business pricing strategy.
  • Formulates Analysis presentation material for pricing proposals
  • Analyzes profitability of accounts by service type.
  • Reviews AR invoices for completeness and accuracy.
  • Enters customer charge rates in to Jaguar.

Cost Management.

  • Analyzes cost data from operations system to identify opportunities for increasing margins.
  • Analyzes impact of price increases or adjustments from transportation suppliers.

Miscellaneous Projects.

  • Reviews impact on profitability for various projects.
  • Works in conjunction with IS department to design and implement system improvements.

An employee is this position must have at bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with at least two years of work experience in the logistics/transportation industry and/or an analytical role.


This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.


Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
