IT Support Technician II

We are looking for a qualified IT Technician to install, analyze and maintain computer systems and associated networks. As an IT Technician you must be well-versed in computer operating systems, network functions, desktop/server software and hardware. The ideal candidate will be a self- starter with strong problem solving skills. This position is not an entry level position.


  • Provide end users with consistent quality of customer service and support for computer/server hardware, software, telephones and various mobile platforms (iOS & Android)
  • Provide first and second level support on various Infrastructure related issues and follow-up with end user community
  • Assist with infrastructure projects as instructed
  • Install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, network cabling, printers and other related equipment and systems within various business environments
  • Administer equipment, hardware and software upgrades
  • Provide direction for end users in all IT systems using best practices in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain communication and status on customer issues

Qualified individuals should have the following skills

  • Troubleshoot various client issues via remote support technologies and in person
  • Configure and troubleshoot a wide array of applications and software
  • Knowledgeable with Active Directory and Group Policy to include users, groups and OU’s
  • VMware experience a plus
  • Sonicwall experience a plus
  • Voip/Telephone (Asterisk/Free switch) experience
  • Microsoft Exchange experience a plus
  • Troubleshoot wireless access points and wireless client connections
  • Configure and troubleshoot Windows 7-10, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2
  • 2+ years prior IT Support experience

Additional Requirements

  • Manage, track, and enter documentation for scheduled tickets in the queue
  • Document all activities related to tickets and any non-client related work
  • Self-discipline, time management and expert customer service
  • Provide support and perform activities relating to current or upcoming projects
  • Work within the client’s culture
  • Must be able to lift and or more up to 50lbs

The right candidate would be a person who works well in both team and individual settings and has an extremely high level of activity ownership for the company. Multi-tasking, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a love for IT work are absolute requirements for this position. Further, the ability to handle diverse situations on a daily basis is required, as is the flexibility to work extended hours as needed. This position requires technical skills, people skills, a positive and cheerful attitude and an ability to track multiple tasks and client activities simultaneously.
