Job Description:

As a School Psychologist Intern, you will have the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience in a school setting while working under the supervision of a licensed School Psychologist. You will assist with various aspects of psychological service delivery, including assessments, interventions, and consultation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, and socio-emotional development.
• Collaborate with the school psychologist to interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to address students' behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' psychological assessment findings and recommendations.
• Deliver targeted interventions and counseling services to students individually or in small groups to enhance their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate strategies and accommodations for students with diverse needs.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and IEP documentation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills as a school psychologist.

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a graduate school psychology program.
• Eligible for a Pupil Personnel Services Intern Credential in School Psychology.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment measures and procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
