Account Controller

Summary:

Ideal candidate will be responsible in overseeing accounting functions for development and operations, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, compile and analyze statistical statements, track funding, assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts and annual reports weekly/monthly etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage the operation of the accounting department’s structure goals and objectives

· Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly and year end financials

· Analyze and interpret company Performa and make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement

· Ensure intercompany and related party transactions are recorded and supported through properly documented policies

· Business analysis and reporting for all business functions, including developing and refining key performance indicators for sales, marketing, and executive teams

· Audit receipts, propose and implement policy changes to reduce variances

· Oversee capital expenditure and analysis, equipment lease financing, asset tracking, and accounting

· Manage weekly cash flow forecasting

· Prepare reliable current forecasting reports

· Monitor office and travel expenditures a well as employee/contractor’s expenses

· Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

· Monitor and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors

· Maximize return and limits risk on cash

· Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

· Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements

Qualifications:

· At least 10 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance/Controller functions

· BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MBA is a plus

· CPA or other professional Accounting certification is a plus

· Must be professional, resourceful, proactive, assertive, high-energy, self-motivated and a proven team player with a great attitude

· Previous cannabis or hemp products accounting experience is preferred

· Proficiency with QuickBooks or experience with other accounting packages a plus

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with BatchMaster or similar resource enterprise software is preferred

· Ability to read and interpret documents and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence

· Proven leadership ability and personnel management skill

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word

· Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
