International supplier of custom and standard parts for industrial packaging seeks a sales manager based in New Orleans, LA. This position has the primary responsibility for development, growth and management of one of its product lines.
Responsibilities:
· Willingness to step in, drive sales forward and improve processes across the product line
· Ability to manage the product line to ensure profitability objectives are achieved
· Skills to develop relationships with suppliers and customers in order to maintain and expand the product line
· Confidence to evaluate products and processes
· Responsibility to collaborate in developing marketing plans, strategies and forecasts
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
· 3+ years of B2B industrial sales experience with proven success including prospecting and developing proposals for new customers
· 3+ years of B2B customer management experience from negotiating terms of sales and initiating sales orders through informing customers of delivery, arranging logistics and related matters
· Exceptional ability to collaborate, manage staff, and resolve issues internally and externally in the interest of both the customer and business within a fast-paced environment
· Strong detail orientation, analytical skills and prior experience with sales forecasting, budgeting and planning
· Excellent verbal, communication and computer skills including experience with ERP and CRM systems
· Ability to travel and meet customers
· Ability to speak Spanish a bonus
