Behavioral Healthcare company is looking for Contract Physicians specializing in addiction medicine to join our team. We treat a broad range of alcohol and substance use disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a specialized Pain Recovery tract for clients with chronic pain.
Work with a team of medical providers to provide medical care of clients in a 96 bed detox/residential addiction treatment center. Perform admission history and physical exam, addiction assessment and utilizes medication assisted withdrawal support, as required.
Be available to provide medical on-call coverage for all inpatients, detox and residential, on rotating schedule. Provide immediate medical attention as needed to all inpatient clients when on location.
May perform medical necessity utilization reviews, including peer clinical reviews.
Will work with the staff medical team and the Clinical Director for the ongoing development, growth and oversight of the treatment program. Physicians must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and an understanding of the interdependent roles of multidisciplinary team members.
The medical team is responsible for promoting high standards of practice through development of addiction treatment policies, protocols and practice guidelines; participating in rigorous performance improvement monitoring and staff education.
Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or ASAM Certified Preferred
Demonstrated competency in Addiction Medicine
MD Degree from an American Accredited Medical School
Able to obtain Medical License in the State of Nevada
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check
Must have a National Practitioner Data Bank query negative of healthcare fraud and abuse.
Must have experience with administering Buprenorphine and must possess a DEA
Buprenorphine X-Number License
