The Pharmacy Data Analyst serves a critically important role within the Prism Health Group organization, ensuring the highest standards of database integrity, and reliably accurate data quality. This role requires a dedication to accuracy, discipline to creating and following defined processes, and a genuine desire to create meaningful efficiencies throughout the broader Prism data enterprise.
The Pharmacy Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining and scaling Prisms current on-premises and cloud-based data warehouse capabilities, along with secure file transfer protocols. This role has an operational focus, actively maintaining and directing all current and future data warehouse activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with leadership, internal partners, and delegated third-party Business Intelligence provider partners to shape current and future data and analytics initiatives.
The Pharmacy Data Analyst is responsible for securely handling and interpreting complex pharmacy claims data, as well as building and maintaining Prisms broader data warehouse and data transformation processes. The Pharmacy Data Analyst is also responsible for
leading data security and file sharing compliance, as well as data quality and transformation activities via SQL Server, Tableau, and FTP Today.
The Pharmacy Data Analyst is responsible for expanding the capability of current and new warehouse management solutions by converting them into scalable data products with automated data transfer and quality focused data transformation practices.
The Pharmacy Data Analyst is an integral part of a nimbly abled team of operationally aligned colleagues that will promote best practices in database design, secure / compliant data handling, and efficient data transformation.
Roles & Responsibilities
Attest and commit to putting forth independent thought leadership, humility, authenticity, and dedicated stewardship to client partners, members / patients, internal partners, and external partners;
Effectively manage and maintain Prisms data warehouse, secure file transfer protocols, and data transformation process via enterprise resources;
Collaborate to establish policies and procedures specific to data warehouse management, data transformation, and data centric support of the Consulting Operations business segment;
Manage third-party relationships with business intelligence and analytics development providers, secure data exchange providers, as well as other vendors that aid in the function of current data, eligibility, and ancillary technical support services;
Lead collaborative efforts with the Consulting Operations Lead and downstream analytics development providers to develop enhancements, remedy outstanding issues, and maintain system performance;
Provide active support to Pharmacy Consulting Analysts / Operations Support Staff, Account Executives, and Prism Leadership;
Assist in the implementation and integration of technology applications that support Prisms business capabilities, as well as build highly scalable data pipelines that enable future business growth; and,
Ownership of Client Account Group (CAG) and Client Partner hierarchy maintenance processes and procedures, including guaranteed network discounts, rebate guarantees, and required exclusions/caveats.
Candidate Core Competencies & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required with an MBA or similar qualification being preferred; Five (5) years experience in a pharmacy / healthcare related field, i.e., Database Administration, SQL Engineer, Informatics, Analytics, Consulting, Information Technology (IT), or related field;
Three (3) years experience navigating, creating, and deploying tailored database management, file transfer and transformation solutions within either On-Premises and / or Cloud environments, experience with SaaS based Business Intelligence environments (Tableau), Micro Strategies, MS Excel, MS Access, MS SQL, and Python based interfaces;
Strong experience successfully building and maintaining healthcare enterprise data warehouses, navigating secure file transfer protocols, and utilizing SQL to effectively query large data sets;
Demonstrated ability and desire to respectfully challenge and engage internal and external partners through persuasive, yet authentic dialogue;
Strong written and verbal communication skills that assertively and respectfully communicates challenging concepts, products, and solutions;
Notable desire to take initiative, proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and expectations; and cross collaborative experience with healthcare related third-party administrators (TPAs) and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
