Job Description

Job Summary

Provide technical engineering support to project supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and specifications. Assist Project Manager and Project Superintendents with overall construction management.

Job Description

  • Manages specified scope(s) of work of a project
  • Review intricately understand contracts and specifications in its entirety and ensure work is done in accordance with such
  • Review and maintain subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Schedule preparations and updates, including two-week look ahead schedules, and Quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting
  • Requisition of equipment and material deliveries as required
  • Schedule and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts in coordination with superintendents and Project Manger
  • Manage monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
  • Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
  • Review employee and equipment timecards daily
  • Prepare and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Maintenance of Traffic reports, and Project Progress Schedule as required
  • Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint quantity measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locates, and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
  • Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affect products or services
  • Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction

Job Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)
  • Three or more years’ relevant experience in the civil construction field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated and dedicated to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Proficient verbal communication and technical writing proficiencies
  • Clear display of progressive leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse team from many different backgrounds
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems by analyzing information skillfully and developing alternative solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera P6, CAD, and HeavyJob preferred but not required
  • Flexibility to travel and relocate as needed
