Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Manager of Operations to oversee all aspects of our basketball events. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events and will work closely with our event staff, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for basketball.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute basketball events from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing logistics.
• Manage all aspects of event operations, including transportation, parking, security, and emergency preparedness.
• Recruit, train, and supervise event staff and volunteers.
• Liaise with sponsors, vendors, and partners to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets to promote events and increase exposure.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to event planning and execution.
• Evaluate event effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
• Manage event budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in event management, sports management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in event management, preferably in sports or entertainment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations is preferred but not required.
