Associate Business Systems AnalystJob Description
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Associate IT is responsible for utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology employed by Prime and partnering with the business, IT, and other project stakeholders to elicit, define, and document the requirements and technical solutions for changes to Prime's claims systems.
+ Ensure understanding of business requirements and IT Business Requirement Specification acceptance criteria successfully met prior to sign-off; identify and document system enhancement scope for assigned projects
+ Provide work plan and detailed estimate, based on scope
+ Interview stakeholders to elicit and document business needs (with some mentorship) for modifications to Claims system applications, and define functional, high-level, and detailed system requirements for requested software changes
+ Actively engage in Claim systems solutioning discussions with project teams (with some mentorship) to ensure clear understanding of requirements, approach, and system solution; obtain signoff of deliverables by all impacted parties
+ Participate in solution design review discussions between IT resources and business requestors to resolve questions regarding requested software changes, and participate with Quality Assurance and UAT resources to review related test cases and/or scenarios
+ Monitor and report project status, issues, and risks
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
+ Ability to facilitate and manage conflict
+ Ability to reach agreement through flexibility and compromise by explaining facts, practices, and policies
+ Self-directed worker with ability to work independently or with team under supervision
+ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with high degree of attention to detail
+ Problem solving, deductive reasoning and analysis skills
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to respectfully communicate and interact, with positive intent, with all people in the organization
+ Team player with ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and ambiguity
+ Capable and willing to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership
+ Previous Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare experience with understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, the Exchanges along with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA and/or PCI)
+ Experience working in an internal or commercial software development organization with knowledge of software development life cycle
+ 1 year of functional system requirements analysis experience or 4 years of related work experience
+ Understanding of security implications of domain
+ Proficiency in Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
+ Ability to travel between Prime locations as needed
+ Ability to work outside of Prime's core hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
+ Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
+ Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
+ Reports to a Manager in the Information Technology department
