Job Title: Medical Assistant – Specialty Medical Clinic (Certified Medical Assistant Required)

POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking reliable individual with at least 3 years of medical office Medical Assistant experience. Medical Assisting certification required. Kind, professional, capable individual with excellent people skills. Regular and reliable attendance a must.This is 5 days per week 8:00am to 5:00pm, prefer live within 30 minutes of the clinic, full benefits.
Specialty clinic with relatively low daily patient volume, 10-20 patients per day. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing medical assistance to providers, including rooming patients, updating all components of the patient’s medical history, documenting reason for visit and history of present illness. Assists the provider with office procedures including, but not limited to wound care and joint pain relief injections. Additionally, this role includes cross training to back up front desk responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Works as part of a team to see a patient volume of an average of up to 20 patients per day.
Basic scribing responsibilities.
Updates all patient medical/surgical/family history, medications and allergies
Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms and supply areas.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years of medical assistant experience.
Certifications & Licenses: Certified Medical Assistant
Technology Applications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts.
Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or medical clinic environment.
