Quality Assurance Project Manager

The Quality Manager is to provide leadership for the Quality Department and ensure that employees are properly trained, documented, receive regular job performance feedback and are safety conscience at all times. Candidate will need a valid driver’s license and the ability to commute between locations- Wixom, Troy, Sterling Heights, Clinton Township, Auburn Hills and Pontiac. You will also need the ability to work overtime including weekends.

Essential Functions
Responsible to maintain the Quality Assurance processes, procedures and standards.
Make sure that all Quality related practices are carried out properly.
Oversee the continual monitoring and improvement of quality by maintaining statistical process and statistical quality control methods.
Implementation, organization and maintenance of Quality process.
Determine required aspects to check and approve all parts prior to shipping.
Determine the cause of any production, quality problems
Q.A. troubleshooting and problem solving for all manufactured parts.
Act as liaison between our company and the customers. Follow-up and respond to customer complaints promptly.
Represent our company at customer’s meetings and seminars.
Inform employees of changes to their day-to-day job responsibilities and provide regular constructive feedback on their performance.
Keep employees informed of company policies, practices and procedures through department meetings and one-on-one discussions, etc.
Participate with employees in ongoing performance reviews and standards as well maintaining necessary records.
Assist in evaluation of potential job candidates.
Promote good communication and cooperation. Maintain positive habits and attitudes.
Exchange information about shift operations and any special instructions.

This position manages all employees of the QA department and is responsible for the performance and hiring of the employees within that department.

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this job; the Quality Manager is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical demands of the Quality Manager are representative of those that are required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp small items, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
