Job Description

As our sous chef your responsibilities include:

  • Manage all operations in the kitchen.
  • Translate our chef's new inventions into well documented recipes.
  • Manage inventory and place & receive orders.
  • Be hands-on: do prep & line cooking when needed.
  • Manage the BOH team of 7-10 members.
  • Train BOH team to guarantee a consistent product.
  • Plan & perform kitchen equipment maintenance.

Some of the skills & capacities you need to have:

  • You have to be a people's person: get along with everyone, make people happy.
  • You have to be a great cook and love the grill and preparing food.
  • You need computer/software skills to place orders, enter invoices, etc.
  • You need to be able to train cooks.
  • You have to be able to work under pressure (and love it when there are 20 orders showing in the screen at the same time).
  • And yes, lift heavy stuff, stand for long periods of time, etc.

Expect 40-48 hrs of work per week.
