Job Description

A manufacturing company in San Clemente is looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist. This position will provide complete customer support by processing customer orders, maintaining customer accounts, facilitating requests, and resolving concerns in a timely and accurate manner. This is a temp-to-hire or direct-hire opportunity, with pay starting at $22-$25/ hour. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm. 

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders & inquiries via email, phone and fax.
  • Track customer orders by using computer system and working with other departments.
  • Maintain customer records by scanning documentation and updating account information.
  • Investigates customer concerns and provide prompt resolution.
  • Must be able to meet daily deadlines and provide timely follow up.
  • General clerical duties include: computer data entry, documentation scanning, occasional switchboard relief and light filing. Will perform other duties as assigned.
  • Process credit memos and carrier claims. 
  • Maintain customer service manual & documentation forms as necessary 
  • Maintain & update make & hold/floor stock summary 

Customer Service Specialist Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two to three years of prior customer service experience is required.
  • Must possess proficient and professional email/telephone etiquette.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Outlook (or similar), Excel, and Word.
  • Must possess accurate math skills.
  • Must be well organized and have strong ability to multitask.
  • Position may have minimal overtime.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to speak and write clear English. 
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish is a plus.
