Job Overview: Electrical Load and Wire Assembler. (ENTRY LEVEL)

Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM

Pay: $15 - $17/hr

Job Duties:

Loads or wires test fixtures for the circuit board industry according to blueprints, computer data, and loading and/or wiring diagrams. This position is 1st shift.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Loads and pre-assembles fixture plates to get ready for wire by hand or by using hand tools with small interface pins and probes, portable powered tools, or operating equipment as necessary to perform operations.
  • Wraps wires or plugs receptacles and samtec pins according to customer/engineering specifications, taking individual responsibility to correct miswired receptacles.
  • Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends. Cut, strip, bend and form wires used to make cables and subassemblies.
  • Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify loading/wiring problems.
  • Seeks answers to any and all obstacles impeding test fixture loading/wiring process by communicating with various employees in different departments of the Company.
  • Lays out diagram for resistor/ diode boards according to wiring specifications. Attaches relays, connectors, bus bars, and various other electrical components to test fixtures.
  • Repairs plates which fail to meet specifications.
  • Complete electrical wiring assembly on a large variety of fixture plates and interfaces associated with ICT fixtures with varying degrees of complexity from start to finish.
  • Performs quality check of own work and any related rework, involving supervisor and/or engineering changes as necessary.
  • Records all deviations and modifications from original design in manufacturing record.
  • Completes all checklists prior to delivering test fixture.
  • Records time spent working on specific jobs. Maintains and cleans work area and keeps tools/equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs additional duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisors and/or Managers

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least one year of assembly work experience
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work extended hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Job Overview:  Electrical Wiring Assembler (MID LEVEL)

Shift: 8AM-5PM Monday - Friday with possible Over-Time

Pay:  $18-$21/hr

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret manufacturing requirements, specifications, procedures, and statements of work. .   
  • Interpret schematics, wire lists and supplied specifications to perform required technical wiring.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to customer, engineers and account managers.   
  • Perform manual assembly operations such as crimping, soldering, and stripping wire.   
  • Conduct test operations utilizing various bench test equipment in order to verify proper wiring of fixtures.   
  • Complete all electronic and hard copy required documentation prior to delivering test fixtures.   
  • Record all deviations and modifications from original design.   
  • Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.   
  • Able to assist with security protected projects.   
  • Able to assist in the assembly and wiring of modular products and larger format table top test platforms.   

Key Requirements:

  • Associates (2 year) degree in electronics or related field is required.   
  • Excellent manual soldering and manipulation skills.   
  • Understand wiring diagrams, wire lists, schematics, datasheets.
  • Able to open and interpret CAD and Solidworks.   
  • Able to view drawings and use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.   
  • Must have working knowledge of soldering iron, rework stations, Digital Multi-Meter and variable power supplies.   
  • Work experience as a wiring technician for electronic and/or electromechanical products is preferred.  
  • IPC 610 or IPC 620 certification is preferred.
  • Repetitive hand movement required in the use of manual and electric tools.   
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.  
  • Stand for extended lengths of time is required; bend, reach, stoop and twist as required

Shift: 8AM - 5PM (Monday - Friday) with possible Over-Time

Pay:  $18-$25/hr

Job Duties:

  • Read and interpret manufacturing requirements, specifications, procedures, and statements of work.   
  • Interprets schematics, wire lists and supplied specifications to perform required technical wiring.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to customer, engineers and account managers.   
  • Perform manual assembly operations such as crimping, soldering and stripping wire.   
  • Conduct test operations utilizing various bench test equipment in order to verify proper wiring of fixtures.   
  • Complete all electronic and hard copy required documentation prior to delivering test fixtures.   
  • Record all deviations and modifications from original design.   
  • Maintain correct time reporting and accurate entries on manufacturing and inspection records.   
  • Work proficiently within security protected projects.   
  • Able to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot modular products, larger format table top test platforms and larger format standalone test platforms. Must be able to complete these projects on time and with minimal errors.    

Key Requirements:

  • Associates (2 year) degree in electronics or related field is required. 
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience as a wiring technician for electronic and/or electromechanical products.  
  • IPC 610 and IPC 620 certification is required
  • Excellent manual soldering and manipulation skills.   
  • Understand wiring diagrams, wire lists, schematics, datasheets.
  • Ability to view drawings, interpret CAD and Solidworks, use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. 
  • Working knowledge of bench top lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters), soldering iron and rework stations and variable power supplies.   
  • Must have working knowledge of soldering iron, rework stations, Digital Multi-Meter and variable power supplies.   
  • Repetitive hand movement required in the use of manual and electric tools.   
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.  
  • Stand for extended lengths of time is required; bend, reach, stoop and twist as required
