We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Dispensing prescribed medications
- Assist physicians and health practitioners on their questions
- Work with Pharmacist closely to ensure all medications, Insurance claims, dispense are on target
- Provide patients with pertinent drug information as directed by Pharmacist
- Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage, dispense
- Supervise and maintain records of all medications
- Work with Insurance for patient medication approvals, update paperwork to them and process entries
- Work with patients and assist handicap patients
- Handle Insurance issues effectively
- Work with Spanish speaking patients with medications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pharmacy or other medical fields
- Fluent Spanish speaking
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to handle multiple calls at the same time for patients, providers, insurance
