Responsible for enhancing overall jobsite productivity. The Technician is expected to have a fluent skillset and will assist with multiple aspects of the cable installation process; including: pathway construction, cable terminations, and labeling.
You will be responsible for wiring and installing commercial and residential security /
fire system components, low voltage devices, audio and video components and training customers in the use of the system
• Service and install: intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems.
• Performs scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it's in satisfactory working order.
• Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
• Assists and or leads with the installation and start-up of new equipment or system installation and makes adjustments as needed to ensure the system is operational.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
3 to 5 years of experience
State of Ohio Fire License is preferred (Ability to acquire within 6 months)
Ability to understand to read prints, drawings
Ability to understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices and the ability to differentiate between them.
Ability to listen carefully to follow and provide detailed instructions.
Ability to understand the structured cabling system including pathways, and testing.
Demonstrated aptitude for training and mentoring junior team members
Ability to choose the correct tool and methodology for the given task; for themselves and can assist others to do the same.
