Plant Manager

We are seeking a Plant Manager for a pre-cast concrete production plant. This position is responsible for leading a team in the production of quality concrete products. The Plant Manager must build a collaborative environment between sales, engineering, accounting and logistics. This role will be continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency to lower cost and increase quality.

Responsibilities:

• Promotes a productive, respectful, cooperative and positive workplace
• Ensures team safety through following procedures and techniques, clean workplace and good housekeeping
• Supervises and trains team members in efficient work procedures and process
• Schedules and assigns team members and equipment based on anticipated needs and adjusts accordingly to meet unexpected situations
• Observes operational activities closely and directs changes in methods of operating or work habits to correct problems and meet quality standards
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Prepares, maintains and evaluates various production or other required reporting
• Works effectively and efficiently with team members in areas of responsibility, consulting with HR, General Management, or others as necessary.
• Performs special projects/assignments as directed
• Other duties as assigned

​Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED - Required
• 5+ years experience with knowledge and understanding of concrete product manufacturing
• Must possess the ability to direct the work of hourly employees
• Good oral and written skills, ability to interact with all levels of management
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong time management skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook
