Property Manager

Real Estate Management and Development firm seeking an energetic, customer-service oriented team player to handle the day-to-day management of a subsidized property in Chicago.

Candidates should possess:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in an office that can see a lot of resident/prospect traffic during the day
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of the leasing process
  • Updating listings and advertisements
  • Diligently following up on leads and creating new ones
  • Showing apartments and pursuing new leases
  • Executing lease paperwork (both new leases and renewals)
• Day-to-day management of busy apartment community
  • Collecting rent
  • Communicating with vendors/staff
• Section 8 re-certification process as property has a significant number of affordable units

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently
• Experience managing a team
• Ability to build rapport with tenants and prospects
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of HUD Housing Programs
• Understanding of YARDI system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
