Drives diesel powered tractor trailer combination to pick up commodities used in the production of milk products and deliver finished milk or ice cream products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drives truck to deliver milk or ice cream products to designated destination.
Assist in loading and unloading products, if needed.
Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
Cleans inside and outside of truck. Plugs refrigeration unit into outlet on dairy grounds when day is completed.
Maintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulation and when required.
Performs all duties in a safe way. Makes routine daily safety check of vehicle and reports any defects..

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School or GED diploma. A minimum of 1 year of work related experience and training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to treat customers courteously and responsively.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Class A CDL endorsements are a plus must have a 2 year DOT Medical Certification
reports all vehicle collisions or incidents to supervisor, immediately.
Assists with special projects, as necessary.
