Prager Metis CPAs seeks a Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant for our DC Metro office in McLean, VA.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support & communication to all clients, partners and team members as needed

  • Manage employee and office calendars in Microsoft Outlook

  • Manage, maintain, and create Client Portals when necessary

  • Coordination of tax work papers, SurePrep, and tax return assembly

  • Handle wire transfers, check deposits, credit card charges into CCH & QuickBooks

  • Client Administrative Duties:

  • Preparation of Engagement Letters for Clients

  • Enter client expenses, follow up on collections, client billing & invoices/statements

  • Assist with general office maintenance & upkeep

  • Maintain copy machine, kitchen area, inventory supplies and order as needed

  • Document organization including scanning, filing & sorting mail

  • Provide support coverage for receptionist when needed

  • Other duties as assigned relating to the needs of the business, our clients, and partners

  • This position does require occasional and seasonal over-time and rotating evening/weekend hours during tax season

    Qualifications and Desired Skills:

  • 2 -3 years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in and administrative capacity

  • Years of experience is an estimate, individuals with less are encouraged to apply if skill requirements have been achieved

  • Tax knowledge/experience is a highly desired, not mandatory

  • Strong knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Incumbent must be highly organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
