General Summary:

Responsible for the release of products in an engineer-to-order process to production. This includes specification reviews, developing project timelines and reports, design reviews, mechanical and electrical designs, documentation packages, pre-production builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature products currently in production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as requested, or required.

  1. Take quotes from sales and turn into producible burners.

a. Reviewing entire order checking for errors and /or conflicting information.

b. Generating orders using and modifying standard and custom bills of material.

c. Adding items listed on the burner order form, pricing sheets, quotations, cross references charts and other available information.

d. Creating and/or modifying oil and gas diagrams, burner assemblies, and wiring diagrams.

e. Collaboration with other departments such as Sales, Purchasing and Production to resolve issues on components or manufacturability.

f. Sending order to data entry for commitment.

2. Rework orders, after approvals, when customer has a change of mind, or the original information was incorrect.

3. Generating change orders, when necessary.

4. Providing support and direction to the Manufacturing Department via special notification forms and direct communication with production personnel concerning parts numbers and the comment section of the cover sheet.

5. Engineering conversion diagrams and providing technical support on changes to be made to burners in the field per the customer’s request.

6. Other duties as required or requested.


  • To successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the individual should have attained a 4-year mechanical or electrical engineering degree from an accredited university.
