Job Description

As the IT Support Engineer at Poshmark, you will have a unique opportunity to grow your own skills as we grow our IT team and create an amazing work experience for our colleagues. It's your role to support day-to-day operations, onboard and offboard employees, troubleshoot all technical issues and escalate them as needed, assist with audio/video, build documentation, and help IT stay in compliance. . 

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and off boarding - deploying/retrieving computers and creating/disabling accounts, provide orientation, training, providing technical guidance where needed
  • Support Poshmark employees in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with: IT hardware/software, SaaS platforms access, Networking, A/V and Communications systems
  • Manage and deploy corporate Macs and Windows machines, coordinate warranty repairs, process upgrades and/or loaners to make sure our team has functional technology
  • Manage VOIP and conference room systems and provide local and remote meeting support for conferencing, company meetings, meetups and events
  • Administer and troubleshoot SaaS application access and user groups
  • Create automated JIRA workflows to keep procedures in compliance
  • Document support and operations processes and procedures
  • Manage hardware and software procurement, asset tagging and assignment
  • Maintain accurate Asset Management records
  • Design and execute projects to improve systems and operations
  • Being proactive on potential issues and security risks

6 Month Accomplishments:

  • Develop relationships with the IT team and direct cross-functional teams
  • Have a firm understanding of the IT systems and infrastructure
  • Begin to have ownership of one core IT system or area
  • Able to think outside the box and be resourceful in troubleshooting all technical issues in regards to hardware, software, networking and SaaS platform access and connections
  • Created 1-3 automated JIRA workflows
  • Automate/Improve 1-2 Jamf/Workspace One processes

12 Month Accomplishments:

  • Cross-trained across all IT systems to have a minimum of administration knowledge of the systems
  • Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory compliance standards surrounding IT security
  • Ability to help hire/train new teammates as the company grows 
  • Oversee and manage projects surrounding process improvements in area of ownership or take on challenging projects of other areas
  • Implement, configure, and support Jamf policies
  • Have complete ownership of JIRA and created 8+ automated JIRA workflows
  • Automate/Improve 7+ Jamf/Workspace One processes
  • Assist in further IT security implementations with projects in the pipeline

Requirement

  • Minimum of 4-6 years as an in-house IT Support Tech, or equivalent experience
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and/or related experience - a plus
  • Understanding and practicing of IT Security best practices
  • Experience using and managing ticket-based enterprise workflow management systems, particularly JIRA and other Atlassian products
  • Ability to develop and implement complex JIRA workflows to automate procedures
  • Ability to develop/improve and automate JIRA and VMWare Workspace One processes
  • Sound knowledge of information and communications technology fundamentals
  • Keen ability to troubleshoot and help Poshmark employees solve hardware and software issues on all technical fronts
  • Experience with troubleshooting network and connection issues in a corporate network environment (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc)
  • Experience with setup, managing, and support of A/V systems in conference room and large meeting areas
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting hosted productivity and communications applications, including but not limited to G-Suite, Dropbox, MS Office, OKTA or other SSO and other commonly used SaaS systems, and the ability to train and support employees on their use
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Creative ideas for continued improvements in processes and service quality
