Pollo Regio is seeking a Financial / Business Analyst to support the Finance and Operations. This teammate is a highly motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills who leverages data to create impactful analysis and reporting to help inform strategic initiatives. This is a dynamic role in a growing organization with direct exposure to corporate strategy and will work closely with finance, and operations as a partner daily. This teammate would report to the CFO and support the companys reporting, planning, and forecasting process. Additionally, the teammate will provide strategic support to CEO, Restaurant Operating Officer, Regional Managers, District Managers, and restaurant managers. A successful Analyst will turn analysis into insights and will effectively communicate findings and recommendations, as well as help make business decisions alongside stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • This motivated and enthusiastic team member possesses strong business acumen, as well as excellent quantitative and decision-making skills.

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of performance metrics (KPIs), measurements, methods, and targets with an emphasis on leading indicators and forecasts.

  • Maintains financial reports including but not limited to the P&L, Balance Sheets, Statement of Cash Flows, and the Executive Dashboard.

  • Reports on periodic, and annual financial performance to the Operations leadership team, and research and prepare explanations of variances.

  • Provides actionable insights and solutions based on analysis of P&L results and key metrics to improve margins.

  • Analyzes and interpret operational results and provide financial recommendations and guidance to the management team.

  • Provides robust ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting, and effectively present the results and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Analyzes reporting of food cost, labor cost looking for enhancement opportunities.

  • Works with our various data platforms (such as CTUIT, Oracle NetSuite) to understand key business drivers, then translates the findings into insights and actions, and their implications to the overall business.

  • Works with finance, operational team, and senior management to support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process.

  • Analyzes financial implications of business performance and provide recommendations from a go-forward perspective.

  • Possess a strong work ethic, and ability to work well with others and implement continuous improvements in systems, procedures, and controls.

  • Demonstrated competence in the use of tools for data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and presentation.

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, flexibility, and prioritization skills to effectively work under tight deadlines.

  • Data and technology savvy with strong analytical framework to build a strong database for financial and operational data.

  • Ability to establish and maintain robust processes relied upon by senior management.

  • Create and maintain financial models to project revenues and costs.

  • Becomes an expert in all current reporting tools and develop and build reports, charts and tables to visually represent data for senior management.

  • Produces high-quality work and encourages others to do the same in order to deliver on promises and deadlines.

  • Prepares reporting packages and financial templates with detailed analysis based on specified requirements from leadership.

  • Designs and develops complex financial models to accurately reflect and assess company performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis.

  • Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Strategic, analytical thinker who can make fact-based decisions.

  • Self-starter with strong organization and detail-oriented skills and excellent follow-through.

  • Ability to communicate complex data in a clear, consistent manner to all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to multitask, quick learner, adaptable, & manage various deliverables on quick timelines.

  • Enthusiastic team player who is productive, working independently or as part of a group.

  • Strong PC skills including advanced Microsoft Office Suite - Excel (Pivot Table, functions, and advanced formulas etc.), PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Visits to restaurant locations in Texas State, mostly in DFW area once a week.
