The Point located in Fells Point and has been open for 10 years and we are looking for a manager to help with day to day operations. We are full-service restaurant and bar serving American comfort food with a twist! Brunch, lunch & dinner, live entertainment, catering and more! We are looking for a Manager to oversees the operations, management team, and staff, including the execution of all policies, procedures, programs, and systems in a fun and upbeat team atmosphere. The Manager is a confident decision-maker, highly practiced in employee management, business and financial management and is a true motivator which possesses excellent communication skills.
The Manager supports the business by creating and maintaining an excellent environment where as a team we strive to exceed expectations and provide the best in hospitality and service for all guests.
Restaurant Manager Job Duties:
- Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand; conferring with people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses, and estimates.
- Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing financing; establishing banking relationships; preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks.
- Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands. MUST be familiar/savvy with social media and current trends.
- Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
- Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons.
- Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems; maintaining maintenance and general operations of the restaurant.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry; attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent experience in operations
- Willing to assume around-the-clock responsibility for restaurant operations
- Management/supervisory/mentor experience required
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Guest- friendly demeanor
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited direct supervision
- High level of confidence
- Strong computer, Internet, and POS skills
- Exhibit a sense of urgency
