Plexos Group LLC is a full service emergency response, disaster recovery and grant management consulting firm. With over 100 years of combined experience, Plexos consultants have supported numerous federal, state and local government entities plan for, respond to and recover from a variety of disaster incidents; such as, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, severe winter storms, earthquakes, oil spills, and other natural and man-made disasters.
This position reports to the Project Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Work with cross-functional work groups composed of internal and external department, local, state and/or federal stakeholders to develop program objectives, work plans, and subgrant budgets for subrecipients.
· Manage and evaluate work plans and timelines to ensure submission of federal grant sub applications and program reports in a timely manner.
· Provide guidance and oversight to clients and sub-recipients regarding grant administration, policies, procedures, resolve related issues and concerns, and ensure uniformity in grant and contract management.
· Manage and monitor the implementation, management, evaluation, and close-out of sub grants according to rules and regulations.
· Ensure a grantee’s and sub recipient’s compliance with conditions of grants by overseeing
agreements, contracts, expenses, activities, and federal and state regulations.
· Review and monitor project cost and approve budget justifications and budget revisions for awarded subgrants.
· Prepare accurate requests and periodic reports for payment from state, federal and other grant sources.
· Review submitted subgrant applications and determine the applicant’s eligibility for award
based on established criteria.
· Review letters of intent and grant applications.
· Serve as a liaison between the firm, the State, Federal and other grant funding sources by attending meetings, responding to information requests, and resolving issues between parties involved.
· Perform related work as assigned.
· Ability to travel (moderate frequency 15%).
· Maintains a regular work schedule and work extended hours when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies, procedures, grant eligibility, and reporting requirements.
· Working knowledge of the principles and practices of public and grant administration.
· Working knowledge, after training, of methods of resources management, including the acquisition, allocation and distribution of various types of financial assistance and disaster relief.
· Ability to learn and effectively apply working knowledge of government organizations, operations and emergency management programs at the federal, state and local levels.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education –Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience – Eight (4) years’ of work experience in positions performing any combination of grant management, emergency management, financial or program compliance, public or business administration, real estate, commercial construction, insurance adjusting, or other directly related field.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in emergency management, accounting/auditing, finance, business management, construction management or public administration is preferred.
Preferred experience working with FEMA grant programs at the technical and operational levels.
* Additional work experience of the type described above may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. One (1) year of experience is equivalent to thirty (30) semester hours.
· REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE:
Must have completed IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 and IS-800 at time of employment.
