Sr. Storage Automation Engineer needed for a hybrid contract-to-hire or direct hire opportunity.

Location; Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid, 1 day in office per week)



Our client is investing in bright, agile, and diverse talent to contribute to their mission of innovating their business and creating a superior customer experience. Our client is actively seeking a talented Sr. Storage Automation Engineer to join the infrastructure team.

As a Sr. Storage Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in our client's growth and long-term success by being a lead storage engineer in the corporate division and supporting other organizations within the company. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of five people in the corporate division. Your colleagues will include Storage, Linux / Unix, Automation, and VMware Engineers.

  • Solves unique or complex problems that have a broad impact on the business thru critical thinking and automation.
  • Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • Lead the storage team with efficiency, creativity, and innovation.
  • Automate day-to-day manual tasks.
  • Ability to automate tasks using a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or through configuration management tool like Ansible.
  • Help the management with creating a strategic short and long-term roadmap.
  • Interface with internal and external security / audit teams to ensure all storage systems are completely secured against any Ransomware or Cyber-attacks.



  • 5+ years of in-depth experience with NetApp C mode, EMC VMAX, and Brocade SAN Switches.
  • Pure Storage experience is a plus.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience for task automation.
  • Strong documentation skills to include creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, and support documentation.
  • Project management and SAN / NAS storage migration experience.
  • Must have experience with snapshots, replication technologies, and disaster recovery process.
  • Provide technical expertise for system design, installation, configuration, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolutions.
