DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Controls & Robotic Specialist is a manufacturing employee with specific skills in control systems, robotics and high speed systems. Injection Molding (IMM), Blow molding (BFS) and Injection Stretch-Mold-Fill-Cap (BFC) will be taught to ensure integration analysis of controls on robotic equipment operates correctly. The Controls & Robotic Specialist is responsible for ensuring proper run of equipment, end of shift reporting through the ERP System, KPI management, and line related Kaizen. In addition, the Controls & Robotic Specialist supports the manufacturing department on special projects and nonconformance investigations. Adherence to procedures and cGMP requirements is mandatory due to the end-use of the products in an FDA regulated environment. The Controls & Robotic Specialist reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Job Roles required of the position:
BFS Technician, IMM Technician, Robotic Technician: Ensures high speed robotic controls are working properly in support of production goals. Ability to train on associated BFS, BFC and IMM equipment, including upstream and downstream automated materials movement systems. Trained in ERP software to provide shift reporting. Troubleshoots robotic systems and equipment to ensure efficient operations and high-quality product.
· Facility Maintenance: Maintains and oversees PM program on control system related equipment.
CIMP System: Provides support for continuous improvement and Kaizen events and projects. Supports new process development and changes to process by assisting on validation projects.
· NCR System: Supports the nonconformance system through reporting of Nonconformances and supporting Quality in investigation activities.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Requirements: Engineering degree with emphasis or coursework on Robotics and programming, or equivalent preferred with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment operations preferred, associate’s degree or Technical School training will be considered with 6+ years experience. Experience with systems and equipment related to manufacturing including production systems, Quality Systems, and ERP systems preferred.
Skills/Qualifications: Working knowledge of basic math to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging. Ability to use measuring devices and basic tools. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, control systems, and sensors preferred. Previous experience will Injection Molding preferred. Ability to train and operate a fork truck and equipment controls. Basic Mechanic skills required. Robotics and programming knowledge required.
