General Summary
The Marketing and Communications Director is a strong communicator who leverages our marketing and communications programs to increase PPSO’s healthcare, education, and advocacy impact and reach throughout the community. This person uses their creative, collaborative, and driven approach to steward the Planned Parenthood brand and drive PPSO’s marketing and communications program forward. The role is responsible for the creation, implementation, monitoring and tracking of a strategic, multi-faceted marketing and communication program. The Marketing and Communications Director works to design, build, and strengthen our organization’s identity with the communities we serve, as well as bolster our reputation as a leader and credible voice in the field of reproductive health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Director will lead internal and external communication strategies while working collaboratively with other internal team members, and community partners. The Marketing and Communications Director will work in partnership with the Patient Services/Operations, Development, and Education teams to develop initiatives on patient, participant, and supporter acquisition, retention, and outreach. This role effectively communicates across all dimensions of diversity in the most equitable, respectful, and inclusive ways possible to both internal and external audiences. The Marketing and Communications Director will have the ability to communicate with cultural humility and operates using an equity lens.
