Job Description

The PF Headquarters Information Systems team is searching for a Sr. Production Support Analyst.

About the Role:

As our Sr. Production Support Analyst, you will be part of our growing team to perform duties across multiple areas of information technology, networking, computer support, data security and other areas of the overall IT application and infrastructure delivery. You will be responsible for the stability, integrity, and operations performance through monitoring, supporting, and optimizing the Planet Fitness technology platforms.  In this role, you will conduct trend analysis, evaluating a variety of information technology tools and ITIL service management processes, reporting on system metrics, downtime and performance issues.  You will perform scheduled systems upgrades, patch management, and participate in IT project delivery to ensure technological efficiencies. 

In this role, you will ensure senior IT management is kept up to date on capacity and demand requirements and manage the increase or reduction in hardware based on service level requirements and cost containment across multiple supplier services.  You will participate in change control and SOX corporate compliance and will work to optimize tech debt throughout the lifecycle management practices. 

In this role you will:

  • Provide leadership for release and change management processes/controls for production deployment and support
  • Ensure appropriate level of alerting and monitoring capability to production services and applications to ensure performance and site reliability are achieved
  • Support scalable micro-service applications and performance management
  • Determine through trend analysis when corporate systems require site optimization, tuning, or capacity augmentation
  • Ensure requirements for reliability, availability, and performance are considered in all production deployment and release management activities
  • Provide short/long term resolution recommendations to high impact critical incidents using problem management and ITIL service excellence processes
  • Participate in site performance testing for all new systems ensuring seamless on-boarding into production management
  • Clearly, concisely, and accurately document issue resolution, root cause analysis, and knowledge articles depending upon the audience
  • Provide regular management reports which included current usage of resources, trends, and forecasting
  • Work with Tier 1 IT staff with escalations, incident resolution, and emergency change management to minimize business impact and deliver robust member experiences
  • Work with all 3rd party service providers to deliver high customer experiences and enable operational excellence

About You: 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant experience
  • 5+ years in an IT production support or IT systems administrator role
  • Ability to resolve a variety or technical issues at the infrastructure, database, network or application layers. 
  • Strong knowledge in LAN/WAN, Database, Application and AWS Cloud platform configurations. 
  • Certifications in ITIL, LEAN-Agile methods or solid incident/change/problem management. 
  • Problem Solving - must be creative with problem solving, offering solutions to problems with a passion for innovation and works well in group problem solving situations
  • Customer Service – must possess demonstrated ability to provide customer support and deal with escalated customer / service-related issues
  • Organizational skills – have the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize work, and adapt during pressured or complex situations
  • Experience with compliance and risk management
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the spectrum from engineers to executives. Must be comfortable communicating complex concepts to diverse levels of seniority and technical teams
