Job Description

Position Title: Post Closing Associate FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Mortgage Post Closing Supervisor ________________________________________________________________________ All positions are to embody Plains Commerce Bank’s image of professional and friendly service and follow all the standards of professional behavior. ________________________________________________________________________

POSITION PURPOSE:

Facilitate the sale of mortgage loans to the secondary market and assist with the Bank’s regulatory reporting process.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and track appraisal deposits, reconcile the appraisal account, pay appraisers
  • Process loan applications that do not proceed (AANA, withdrawn, denied)
  • Actively manage IRLC pipeline (lock approval, investor commitments, delivery method, best execution)
  • Board closed loans to Precision (set-up, post, review), fund settlement agents, provide funding approval
  • Receive and scan closing package, prepare file for upload, deliver to 2nd market investor, MERS registration
  • Mortgage loan insuring: Prepare and deliver HUD binders, pay upfront fees(FHA, Single Pay PMI, VA, RD), retrieve necessary proof (MIC, LNG, LGC)
  • Coordinate clearing of investor purchase conditions
  • Reconcile purchase advices and incoming wires, post entries in Precision, complete MERS and FHA transfers
  • Clear post-funding conditions (title policies, recorded mortgages, insurance documents, address/clear potential loan defects)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
  • Practice branch security procedures and protects customer confidentiality and privacy.
  • May perform additional duties as necessary to keep the Bank operating efficiently and effectively.

EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Post-secondary education is helpful. Prior accounting, secretarial and/or bank lending experience is helpful.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a mature, responsible individual with a professional appearance, be dependable and take pride in their work.
  • Attention to detail is a must in this position
  • General PC knowledge and the Internet is required, must be capable of accurate typing, and learning various computer software programs.
  •  Familiarity with loan documentation requirements is helpful however; detailed knowledge is not a mandatory prerequisite.
  •  Must enjoy helping customers and fellow employees.
  •  Must be trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  •  Must be able to multi-task and work under stress and pressure.
  •  Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers and deal with colleagues effectively and professionally.
