Account Director-Colocation/Data Center Sales

Our valued client in Boston, MA is seeking a seasoned Account Director for an exciting opportunity in the Data Center space.

From developing brand new accounts to driving expansion across existing accounts, transform opportunity into action every day. Whether focusing on a geographical area, product line, industry, channel or market segment, the goal is to develop relationships and generate meaningful sales. Account Directors are the direct line between our ground-breaking portfolio of product solutions and the desks of satisfied customers.

What you will do:

  • Drive new logo accounts
  • Expand geography and/or services in existing accounts
  • Build & maintain meaningful business relationships
  • Meet with existing customers regularly to maintain high client satisfaction
  • Conduct data center tours for new logo customers
  • Attend networking events with industry-specific professionals to bring in new customers to the client's Data Centers
  • Increase brand awareness to become the colocation expert in the local marketplace
  • Analyze the local market for creative ways to draw awareness to our client's Data Center Solutions
  • Provide weekly reporting updates to superiors
  • Work collaboratively with peers to close business
  • Develop and present sales solutions to prospective and existing customers
  • Meet or exceed sales revenue targets
  • Travel up to 25% nationally and 75% locally

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience
  • Working knowledge of data center sales preferred
  • Telecom or IT Infrastructure experience
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite in day to day sales pursuits
  • SalesForce experience preferred
