Behavioral Health Technician - Per Diem

Pivot Treatment and Wellness Centers is looking for a Per Diem (on call) Behavioral Health Technician, to provide direct client care and to assist in executing the daily tasks of the facility.

The Per Diem BHT will serve as an "on call" staff member to fill in as needed, and will not have a permanent schedule. The Per Diem BHT should be willing to cover daytime, evening, or nighttime shifts. This position requires the ability to come in to work on short notice.

Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Technician position include:

  • Administering programs to ensure employee and client safety.

  • Following procedure to remain in compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Following Infection Control Guidelines at all times.

  • Providing a safe, enjoyable, and therapeutic environment for clients.

  • Developing as a valued member of the clinical team.

  • Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.

  • Providing daily reports to management.

  • Facilitating clients' adherence to rules and responsibilities.

  • Reporting noncompliance to management and frequently documenting client behaviors.

  • Following intake and discharge procedures.

  • Observing client medication time in accordance with the schedule and log.

  • Administering drug tests and performing searches.

  • Completing all applicable paperwork (medical logs, shift reports, MOR’s, etc.).

  • Cleaning and setting up the residence and washing linens after clients are discharged.

  • Transporting clients as necessary using the company vehicle.

Skills, Qualifications, and other requirements needed for the Behavioral Health Technician position include:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position or similar function.

  • In-depth understanding of relevant violations of safety regulations and codes.

  • Valid state driver’s license.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Understanding of 12-step programs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Professional appearance.

  • Motivated and focused attitude.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.

  • The ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.

  • Incoming and random drug testing as a condition of employment.

  • Verifiable professional and personal references.

  • Willingness to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.

Preference will be given to candidates who are CBHTs or who have experience with KIPU database systems.

Education Level : High School Diploma

Pay: $12-14/hr
