Job Description

Join one of the fastest growing and most technologically advanced public safety companies in the country and join us on our mission to support and equip the men and women that keep us safe!  Reporting directly to the owner and CEO, the Finance Manager is a key functional expert in the organization and is responsible for all corporate finance, accounting and purchasing activities.   This role will be based out of our office in Neville Island, PA with the flexibility of working remotely from time to time.

- Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
- Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities, such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
- Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
- Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
- Ensure client price books are maintained properly and are reviewed periodically and adjusted as needed and ensure they are properly setup according to client contractual requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of company, employee and client information
- Manage a small team of direct reports in finance and purchasing

- A successful candidate would have the ability to make sound decisions to optimize the company’s profitability
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team
- Experience managing buying and procurement activities
- Experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Familiarity with payroll systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, taking appropriate action
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Experience with managing bids preferred
