The Managing Senior Developer – E-commerce and CMS will supervise software engineers focused on the development of
our custom e-commerce platform and CMS applications. They will be responsible for building a new team dedicated to
supporting these platforms and will contribute to the development of these projects. This role reports to the Chief
Technology Officer and works in collaboration with the IT, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments to plan and
support new e-commerce features and resolve existing issues.

Key Duties
● Hire and train new software engineers and junior engineers, and supervise and delegate duties to the development
team
● Develop user-friendly web applications for both customers and internal users
● Actively collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments to determine
needs and target solutions
● Provide support for new and existing e-commerce features and resolve existing issues
● Help establish and maintain development standards for the team
● Assist Chief Technology Officer and other team members with ongoing and new web development projects
● Assist in creating a staff mentorship program and professional development initiatives

Qualifications/Experience
Candidates must possess the following technical proficiencies:
● Ruby on Rails or similar MVC framework
● JavaScript (React experience preferred)
● Postgres
● HTML/CSS
● Git
● CI/CD
● AWS

Additional technical skills desired:
● Experience with Single Sign-on Solutions
● Experience with GitHub
● Familiarity and/or experience with Redis

Our ideal candidate will also possess:
● Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent working experience
● 3+ years of managerial experience
● 5+ years of experience as a Rails (or similar framework) developer
● Proven ability to review and self-check work, utilizing testing and review processes to improve performance
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
● Experience working in small teams with short deadlines
