DEPARTMENT: Resident Care
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt / On-call except during scheduled / approved vacations
POSITION SUMMARY: The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance and maintaining quality systems within the day to day operations of the Resident Care Department. The Resident Care Coordinator assists, as indicated or directed by the Wellness Director to effectively manage, direct and administer resident services of the facility in accordance with company policies and procedures, standards of practice for operations, and governmental regulations so as to maintain quality care for all residents and the daily operation of the resident care department and Case Management needs. Specific focus on supervision and management of the Resident Assistant Staff. Ensures adequate day-to-day staffing and scheduling of resources. This includes but is not limited to ensuring the following indicated areas have expectations met in the resident care department, coordination, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and supporting all aspects of resident care while maintaining excellent resident care services. Responsible to maintain high resident satisfaction for optimum occupancy, assists the Wellness Director to meet community financial goals including supply expenditures, staff scheduling. Provides staff supervision, staff training, staff accountability based on indicated job description, and supports Resident Care Department in all aspects inclusive of those assigned by the Wellness Director in accordance with the staff/residents' needs, state regulations and Pine Harbour policies. Works collaboratively with Wellness Director in the coordination of resident caseloads, resident services and functions necessary to enhance the residents' autonomy and socialization skills and provide an optimal living environment within the adult care community. Full knowledge of all state and federal regulations, guidelines. Reports to the Wellness Director and/or Case Management Director, all pertinent information to the day-to-day operation of the community. In fulfilling his or her primary duties and responsibilities, the Resident Care Coordinator shall exercise professional judgment in carrying out a variety of activities that maximize the well-being and quality of life of residents.
