Inside Sales Representative

Pika Energy is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to interact with current and potential customers as well as solar installers to market our leading solar-plus-storage solution. Pika is part of the Clean Energy Solutions Business Group, which was formed by Generac Power Systems’ recent acquisition of Pika Energy and Neurio Technology. The focus of the Clean Energy Solutions Business Group is to develop innovative products and technology platforms that will make us the global leader in the Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Home Energy Management (HEM) markets.

The successful applicant will sell Pika products and assist our Certified Pika Installer and Distributor network to drive customer proposal activity and customer satisfaction as the company scales. The Inside Sales Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day explaining complex technical products, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

  • Qualify, prioritize and respond effectively to inbound calls and online inquiries. Communicate product awareness, value propositions, promotions and other order-generating messages to different audiences, including potential end use customers, installers, and distributors.
  • Make effective outbound sales calls to equipment potential end use customers and equipment installers.
  • Guide installers through the Pika Certified Installer program on-boarding process, providing a high level of customer support. Ensure successful pass-off of end user leads to drive equipment sales through Pika Certified Installers. Work closely with Outside Sales, Technical Service, and Customer Service to hand-off leads, answer technical questions, and resolve customer problems.
  • Make effective outbound sales calls to equipment installers and potential end use customers.
  • Educate potential system owners through regular webinar presentations, driving proposal activity for Pika equipment.
  • Email list segmentation, targeting, and management to facilitate ongoing email marketing
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of email communications templates and call scripts.
  • Work closely with Outside Sales, Technical Service, and Customer Service to hand-off leads and solve customer problems

Minimal Qualifications:

  • 4-year BA or BS degree
  • Demonstrated Salesforce.com or other CRM experience
  • Technical/technical sales background
  • Strong desire to learn about complex technical products
  • Enthusiastic, positive, well spoken
  • Excellent phone and written communication
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and explaining technical product capabilities
  • Computer skills to present data and draw diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years sales experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in high-paced growing company work environment
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and explaining technical product capabilities
  • Experience selling industrial or technical products with an electrical or mechanical background
  • Experience supporting a distribution network with a technical product
  • Experience delivering presentations, conducting training and providing product solutions
