Cheese Clerk

The Cheese/Deli Staff member will support the Cheese and Deli Department in providing quality Customer Service to Piazza's. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service under time constraints; must be able to fill orders in a reasonable amount of time exactly to customer specifications.

The following duties are a sample of the types of activities that may be performed in the course of the job. The following list is not exhaustive of all duties and may include other duties as assigned by store management:

• Receive deliveries and put away the load, either to the shelf or to the stockroom
• Front-face and fill cheese self-service area
• Cut cheese wheels down to a variety of purchase-ready sizes
• Check expiration dates on cheese while front-facing in self service area
• Follow all applicable safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and neat work area

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the retail grocery Cheese/Deli environment preferred
• Must be able to work varied hours and shifts
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
•  Must be able to lift up to 30 – 40 lbs occasionally
• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
