Phoenix Lighting is proud to have called Milwaukee home since 1892.  We are currently seeking full-time Welder.

Responsibilities

Responsible to ensure quality parts in work areas. 

Maintain a high-quality performance. 

Set-up and operate MIG & TIG welders.

Must be able to work with Aluminum and Stainless Steel.

Complete operation of punch and draw press, drill presses, belt sanders, stud machine, saw, or assembly of 300 ovens using fiberglass as assigned.

Operate grinders to clean welds & finish parts. 

Notify leads and managers, etc. of any deviation of product quality. 

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Follow all safety rules and procedures. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification 

Ability to use various hand, electric and air tools, along with measuring devices. 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and use fractions and percentages.

Able to read mechanical blueprints. 

Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

Ability to work independently with no supervision. 

Able to use potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. 

3 to 5 years related welding experience.

Minimum 1 year training of material and welding techniques.

The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.
