As a Phoebe team member, you're free to work in an innovative environment with a number of bright minds that let your core strengths shine.Who is right for the job?Phoebe, a premier provider of high quality nursing and rehabilitative health care services to older adults, is seeking a compassionate, caring, and experienced Accountant I who will performing a variety of general accounting duties and who is interested in joining our dedicated team at our Allentown campus.Phoebe Perks7 Paid Holidays per year20 days Paid Annual Leave per calendar year after date of hireTuition Reimbursement**Benefit days are available for employees with a regular status of greater than 32 hours per pay period.Skills crucial to success in this role: Prepares detailed monthly reporting & analysis and reports any significant variances and issues to their supervisor.Prepares journal entries, spreadsheets and account analysis.Prepares financial reporting and analysis models for understanding current operating results as well as projecting future results.Works with Operations management to ensure that Operations management has full understanding of operating results and key performance indicators.
Responsible for budget process and working with Operations management, including formulating suggested areas of opportunity and exposure. Prepares financial reporting for the annual budget process including the receipt of all information from external department personnel and preparation of final budget reports. Submits reporting and review of budgets to their supervisor.
Adheres to all budget reporting and completion deadlines. Prepares audit supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts and reporting information. Manages compilation and distribution of financial information to external parties.
Prepares balance sheet reconciliation schedules as assigned by their supervisor.Compiles necessary information for tax returns (includes 990s), cost reports and other annual filings.Education and Experience:B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent experience.Advanced Micro-Soft Excel skills; Proficient computer/data entry skills; Moderate typing skills; Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics; Interpersonal relations and communicative skills; Superior organizational skills.Minimum three (3) years of financial management or accounting experience; working knowledge of financial statement preparation procedures, individual account reconciliation, budget preparation, and reporting and computerized financial forecasting.
