Job Description
Sitework Project Manager/Field Supervisor for turnkey heavy highway, site development, and utility projects. Must be able to work independently.
Tasks
After being assigned projects ….
· Coordinate all aspects of assigned project(s) utilizing support personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
· Read and understand the plans and specifications.
· Coordinate purchasing, submit material and methods for approval as well as coordinate arrival of material within project schedules.
· Interact with owner and staff to prepare project schedules, attend meetings, keep up with and distribute plan revisions and addenda, as well as keeping daily reports and inspecting work.
· Be a professional customer friendly representative to our clients. Communicating with customer supervisors, peers, subordinates, subcontractors, and owners.
· Supervise site crews and schedule logistics with internal company schedulers.
· Utilizing e-mail, send and receive files, including plans and write correspondence. Use common computer apps such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
· Determining and discussing project methods and procedures with staff in regular meetings.
· Understand and practice safety requirements. OSHA 30 hr. desired. Will provide training if not.
· Anticipating and resolving field problems.
· Using computer aided drafting or design software for construction use and plan review.

Work Context
Requires physically walking and working in the field in various Kentucky weather conditions. Also requires office time preparing schedules, daily reports, material submittal preparation, attending meetings with subcontractors, owners, etc. Interpretation of blueprints and specs. Requires face to face, phone, and electronic interaction with all different personalities. Requires coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities. Requires wearing common construction protective or safety equipment. Some job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people. Must be able to utilize common computer applications and email.
Education and Experience
Degree or Formal Training: Civil Engineering or Construction Management Technology Degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
License, Certificate or Registration: OSHA 30-hour training (desired, but not necessary) will provide opportunity to receive once onboarded.
Knowledge Required
· Building and site-specific construction knowledge
· Experience in reading site specific plans and specs
· Geotechnical testing and reporting terminology preferred.
· Computer literate. Email correspondence
· Basic Software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
· Knowledge of or ability to learn various communication platforms and construction-based software.
· CADD and PDF basics for purposes of reading, printing, and distributing plans.
· Knowledge of civil construction basics and interpretation of technical documents
· Some survey knowledge, more is better.
· Proficient in basic math
· Basic Jobsite safety and OSHA requirements (training is available)
· English language
Specific Tools
· Driver’s license
· Able to use a level and tape is necessary. Advanced survey equipment is desired but not necessary.
· Operate a pickup truck.
